BIOGRAPHY
My name is Ms. April Pratt and I am the Title 1 Teacher for reading and math intervention here at Pikes Peak Prep. Although I am originally from Oklahoma, I attended middle and high school in the Colorado Springs area and attended college at the University of Colorado in Denver where I majored in Political Science, graduating with distinction. During my college years I founded and presided over a student organization and was a policy analysis intern at the Colorado State Capitol. My college experiences instilled in me a deep love of learning that I strive to pass on to the students I work with here at Pikes Peak Prep. After graduation, I worked as a stock broker for several years and realized that my passion was helping people attain the best life possible for themselves. Since I believe that education plays an important role in having a happy and successful life, I decided to make the transition to teaching so that I could really make a difference in children’s lives. As a dedicated educator, I believe that every child can learn and I strive each day to help every one of my students reach their full potential.
